Every day is a day the Lord has made! Every day is a gift. Today is a gift from God. No matter what happens today, good or not so good, God promises to be with you. His presence in our day is ultimately enough.
God’s presence brings us a deep abiding joy that can’t be found any place else. Men and women have experienced it when sickness invades their live. They have found this joy while walking through the “valley of the shadow of death.” They have known it when life is at its most challenging. How can this be? How can one be joyful when they are filled with fear, grief, pain, questions, heartaches, and hurt that belies description?
It is all about trust and belief. If you believe that God is good and that He has your best interest in mind you can trust Him. You can know that He is with you. He is empowering you when you have no power on your own. When your strength is waning or gone, you can hear Him say that His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
Max Lucado said, “Faith in God is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that He will do what is right.”
He will always do what is right. Even today, if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, He is doing what is right. Because of this and His gift of this day, I will rejoice and be glad in it!
