Retirees and seniors living on fixed incomes continue to feel the impact of rising healthcare costs. That’s why Liberty HealthShare is taking another major step to help members save more money and reduce out-of-pocket expenses.
Beginning August 1, Liberty HealthShare will eliminate the $500 Annual Unshared Amount (AUA) for members enrolled in Liberty Assist, the ministry’s healthcare sharing program designed specifically for seniors enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B.
This marks the second consecutive year Liberty HealthShare has reduced costs for Liberty Assist members. In 2025, the AUA was lowered from $1,500 to $500. Now, it’s being eliminated entirely.
For many retirees, inflation – especially healthcare inflation -- has made budgeting increasingly difficult. By removing the AUA, Liberty Assist members could save an additional $500 annually.
Combined with suggested monthly share contributions starting at just $87, Liberty Assist continues to provide an affordable way for seniors to manage healthcare expenses while enjoying the benefits of belonging to a Christian healthcare sharing community.
Liberty Assist helps members share eligible medical expenses that Medicare may not fully pay, including deductibles and co-pays. Members also have access to enroll in Liberty HealthShare’s dental and vision sharing programs, which can create additional savings throughout the year.
“Our members can see the doctor of their choice and know their bills can be easily submitted for sharing by other members that could fill in the gaps of what Medicare doesn’t pay,” said Morrow. “It is a real blessing to be a part of an active and supportive Christian sharing community.”
In addition to Liberty Assist, Liberty HealthShare offers five medical cost sharing programs for individuals and families seeking an alternative to traditional health insurance.
Suggested monthly share amounts range from:

Earlier this month, Liberty HealthShare also announced reductions averaging 16% for many of its most popular family memberships and returned more than $2 million to members.
Because Liberty HealthShare is a healthcare sharing ministry — not insurance — individuals and families can enroll year-round without needing a qualifying life event.
