Liberty Assist, Liberty HealthShare’s Medicare companion program for those enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B, recently became a better value for cost-conscious seniors looking to share eligible medical expenses in a like-minded community.
The sharing program’s Annual Unshared Amount has been completely eliminated as of August 1 and is retroactively effective January 1, 2026.“Inflation has hit seniors on fixed incomes particularly hard, and this reduction could save our members upwards of $1,000 per year,” said Dorsey Morrow, Liberty HealthShare chief executive officer.
With monthly share amounts starting at just $87, Liberty Assist is an even greater value for those on Medicare looking to manage rising healthcare costs. Members also enjoy a suite of discounts on everything from prescription drugs to LASIK surgery.

Update May 11, 2026: The previous version of this blog mentioned the Liberty Assist AUA was reduced from $1,500 to $500 (see May 2025 press release); this update now includes the elimination of said AUA.
