Is Liberty HealthShare Worth It?

Is Liberty HealthShare Worth It?

Liberty HealthShare offers real, measurable value for health-conscious Christians looking for another option that is not health insurance, particularly in cost, flexibility, and community. Here's what sets it apart.

Cost

Liberty HealthShare has reduced member costs for two consecutive years. In 2026, the ministry returned more than $2 million directly to members and cut family contribution amounts for three core programs by an average of 16%, which is a meaningful contrast to a healthcare market where insurance premiums continue climbing. Suggested monthly share amounts range from $87 to $362 for individuals and start at $319 for families.

No Annual or Lifetime Sharing Caps

Liberty HealthShare's three core programs — Liberty Essential, Liberty Connect, and Liberty Unite — don't impose annual or lifetime sharing caps. Eligible expenses are shared per incident, with per-incident limits up to $1 million on Liberty Connect and Liberty Unite.

Freedom to Choose Providers

Members choose their own healthcare providers. While members are encouraged to utilize PHCS network participating providers due to their likelihood to accept fair and reasonable pricing, there are no network restrictions dictating where you receive care.

Year-Round Enrollment

Liberty HealthShare offers enrollment throughout the year without requiring a qualifying life event, unlike ACA-compliant health insurance plans, which restrict enrollment to specific windows. Schedule a call on your time with one of our enrollment specialists.

Charity Navigator 4 star profileMember Satisfaction and Track Record

Liberty HealthShare has operated since 1995 and has facilitated the sharing of billions of dollars in eligible medical expenses. The ministry has earned a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, a GuideStar Gold Seal from Candid, and an A+ accreditation from the Better Business Bureau. Member satisfaction has grown consistently, with nearly 80% of members reporting satisfaction and member dissatisfaction as a reason for leaving has dropped to approximately 2%.

Programs for Every Life Stage

Liberty HealthShare offers six medical cost-sharing programs, from Liberty Rise ($99/month for ages 18–29) to Liberty Assist ($87/month for members 65 and older enrolled in Medicare parts A and B). Sharing programs for dental and vision are also available as add-ons.

No need to feel overwhelmed by the choices available to you—we'll walk you through every step. Take our program quiz to see the options that may be the right fit for you, or schedule a call with one of our enrollment specialists to get your questions answered directly.
