Liberty HealthShare, in collaboration with the Canton Repository, has officially announced the second round of applications for the Sharing Hearts Fund for Pediatric Wellness. This charitable arm of the healthcare sharing ministry, funds for which are obtained through donations and grants separate from the ministry’s regular operations, seeks to provide financial support to Stark Country families in need with pediatric wellness expenses.
The first round of funding for Sharing Hearts was a great success, with multiple Stark County families receiving more than $17,000 in grants.“We were blessed to have had the opportunity to help these deserving children with their medical and dental needs,” said Liberty HealthShare Chief Executive Officer Dorsey Morrow. “It was heartening to read the responses from our awardees as they shared how this funding will make a difference in their child’s life.”
With more than $50,000 available in funding for the second round, Morrow said he expects the second round of grants to field more applications and support even more families.
Families seeking funding will go through a simple application process, and the application will be available on the Sharing Hearts webpage beginning September 1, 2025. Paper applications will also be available at Liberty HealthShare, 4455 Hills & Dales Rd. NW, Canton, OH 446708.
All applications received by 5 p.m. on September 30, 2025, will be considered for the second round of funding.
Grants requests for important wellness procedures including physical exams, dental exams and teeth cleaning, vision exams and eyeglasses, and hearing tests will be reviewed by the Sharing Hearts Fund Application Review Committee made up of Stark Country leaders who work in a variety of roles seeking the well-being of Stark Country residents, including representatives from social service agencies and churches. Information about the committee can also be found on the Sharing Hearts webpage.
