How Repricing Works
The Purpose of Repricing Medical Bills Liberty HealthShare takes a multitude of steps to ensure that members are getting the most out of taking...
The AUA is an annual accumulative amount assigned for each single, couple, or family membership. The AUA is calculated beginning at your membership start date, independent of the calendar year, until your next annual renewal date. Once your AUA has been met, the opportunity for sharing becomes available for eligible medical expenses. For members who face a significant medical event early in their membership year, their AUA may be met early on.
Each Liberty HealthShare program has different AUA amounts, depending on program enrollment and the number of people on your membership.
A program with a lower AUA means the opportunity for sharing begins sooner, but this typically comes with a higher monthly share amount. Alternatively, a program with a higher AUA comes with a lower monthly share contribution.
If you anticipate significant medical needs, a sharing program with a lower AUA provides the opportunity for more member sharing. If you're generally healthy and want the opportunity for member sharing primarily for major eligible medical expenses, a program with a higher AUA may be the better fit. At Liberty HealthShare, we structure our programs so that you can select the contribution and share amounts that best match your resources and circumstances. Because when it comes to healthcare spending, we believe you deserve the choice.
