“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” As a faith-based, biblically-founded non-profit healthcare sharing ministry, Liberty HealthShare takes Jesus’ words, found in the Gospel of John, very seriously! Our community is founded on this, and similar biblical mandates, instructing us to love another by bearing each other’s burdens. And there’s more way than one that Liberty HealthShare makes this goal a reality!
First, Liberty HealthShare expresses love for our members, and those who are seeking a different way to manage their eligible healthcare needs, by having an emphasis on freedom. For our members we offer freedom in provider choice and healthcare decision making. While we encourage our members to utilize PHCS Network participating providers, thereby increasing the likelihood of their provider accepting fair and reasonable pricing, we still allow our members to visit the provider of their choice and be empowered with the knowledge of what their choice can mean. For those exploring the Liberty HealthShare family, our ministry knows that managing your family’s healthcare is a big decision that takes time, and that process should be free of specific deadlines. Liberty HealthShare has no open enrollment period—you can join at any time and without a qualifying life event (i.e. job change, family size change, etc).
Curious what program could be right for you? Got a few minutes to find out?
Liberty HealthShare also lives out their mission of love by seeking to be a force for good in the ministry’s local community. Through charitable initiatives like the Sharing Hearts Fund for Pediatric Wellness and the Day of Sharing, funds separate and distinct from Liberty HealthShare’s operations as a healthcare sharing ministry are used to help families in need in Stark County, Ohio. Furthermore, Pastor Wes Humble, executive director of ministry, community relations, and events, works with various organizations, such as Operation Christian Child and The Heart of Ohio Diaper Bank to make a positive impact in Stark County and beyond!
Finally, Liberty HealthShare believes that true love and care means recognizing that each of our members are real people with names, not just numbers that serve a bottom line. As a natural outpouring of this, Liberty HealthShare offers the opportunity for support not only in bodily needs through the mutual sharing of eligible medical expenses between members, but also in mind and spirit. With additional resources available to members to help with their mental health needs, as well as offerings such as the PrayerBox and monthly Liberty Chapel services to encourage and strengthen members in their Christian journey, and the simple availability and compassion of ministry staff, Liberty HealthShare knows that truly loving and caring for each other goes beyond just the doctor’s office!

As you can see, there are a multitude of ways in which Liberty HealthShare lives out the love mandated in the Bible. If you want to experience this love firsthand, you can begin your journey on the path where faith and healthcare unite today and schedule a call with one of our team members.
