Liberty HealthShare can help reduce what you pay for medical care through a transparent cost structure, and a community model designed to keep overhead low.
Liberty HealthShare is not insurance, so members can visit any licensed provider they choose. Members are, however, encouraged to utilize providers who participate in the PHCS Network, as these providers are more likely to accept fair and reasonable pricing.
Liberty HealthShare also works with cost-containment vendors who reprice medical bills to a fair and reasonable amount based on what providers typically accept for a given procedure in a given area and a percentage of the Medicare allowable amount, which can substantially reduce the total bill before sharing is applied.
CEO Dorsey Morrow describes health sharing as a mindset shift toward personal engagement: "With healthcare sharing, you have to be more proactive. You want to understand the options that are out there, how you can be a better steward of the money that is going to pay for medical expenses."
