This breakfast will be a time to learn about Liberty HealthShare’s newest Sharing Hearts Fund initiative which seeks to provide funding to churches in Stark and contiguous counties for use in ministry to those who need it most in our communities. We have dedicated $100,000 to this fund, and are offering 20 grant opportunities of up to $5,000 each.
Many groups. One Mission.
We have invited church leaders as well as community and social service agency heads to offer chances for connection and collaboration. While funding is only available to churches, we believe that we are stronger together, and hope that you can identify and connect with others in your community who are seeking to make a positive impact in similar ways. A cord of many strands is harder to break after all!
RSVP by August 1st below, and don’t miss this exciting opportunity! We couldn’t be more excited to welcome you and work towards fulfilling the call of the Gospel together.
Liberty HealthShare—A Force for Good
Liberty HealthShare is non-profit healthcare sharing ministry located in Stark County. Members of our ministry are located around the United States and we serve as facilitators for the sharing of eligible medical expenses between members.
We launched the Sharing Hearts Fund to help Stark County families in need receive funding for healthcare expenses for their children, and it has grown far beyond this initial goal while maintaining the same core mission—to be a force for good in the lives of those who need it most.
We are excited for this newest phase of the Sharing Hearts Fund, and we look forward to walking side-by-side with you as we work to love those around us one step at a time.

Questions? We have answers.
If you don't find your question below or you want to talk more about Sharing Hearts, you can always email us at sharinghearts@libertyhealthshare.org or call 330-942-0268.
-
What kind of medical services can be funded?
Our focus is pediatric wellness, so examples would be a physical exam, vision exam and glasses, hearing tests, and dental exams and cleanings. These are all important procedures and can have a lasting impact on the lives of children.
-
Is there a maximum that will be awarded for any individual request?
It is our hope and goal to help as many young people under 18 as possible. The following limits apply: Physical exams up to $400, dental exams and cleaning up to $400, vision exams and eyeglasses up to $500, and hearing tests up to $300.
Applicants are encouraged to apply for the procedure(s) for which there is the greatest need.
-
What are the requirements for the application?
The ten-minute application goes over basic contact information, available assistance, and details of the requested procedure.
During the application, you will be required to provide the procedure or service, estimated cost, and provider information. Please confirm this information with your provider prior to submitting your application.
Applications for 2026 are closed. Sign up to receive an email alert for when applications open in 2027.
-
I am employed, am I eligible to receive funding?
Yes! In your application, you have an opportunity to explain why this funding is necessary, regardless of employment.
-
Can I apply for funding to help my grandchildren?
Yes, you are encouraged to apply for any young person under 18 in need of these procedures related to pediatric wellness.
-
I don't know what to put for the Provider information or cost estimate.
That's okay! You can always put down your regular providers information and call their office to get a cost estimate. Or you can choose from the list of providers listed here on our website.
Don't let uncertainty around a provider keep you from applying. Reach out to our Sharing Hearts Coordinator with any questions—we're here to help.

-
I am a member of another health sharing organization, am I eligible to receive funding?
Yes, the Sharing Hearts Fund is separate and distinct from Liberty HealthShare customary operations. We base decisions on financial need, not on membership.
-
Who will make the decisions about who is awarded funding?
We have established an Application Review Committee made up of community leaders and Liberty HealthShare personnel. Our goal is to help as many people as possible with the available funding.
-
When will the disbursements take place?
The applications for 2026 are closed. Disbursements for 2026 are anticipated to take place in June 2026.
Applicants are advised that Liberty HealthShare will contact you either via email at the email address you provided or phone at the phone number you provided. We will never contact you by text or ask for payment information over the phone.
Please call us at 330-942-0268 or email us at sharinghearts@libertyhealthshare.org if you have any questions in the meantime.
-
Why did Liberty HealthShare create the Sharing Hearts Fund?
In an effort to increase the impact of our ministry on the betterment of life in Stark County. We are in a position to help more people, so we decided to do so.
-
Where did the money in the Sharing Hearts Fund come from?
All funds come from donations and grants. None of the funding comes from Liberty HealthShare members' sharing dollars. This is a charitable effort, separate and distinct from the normal operations of the healthcare sharing ministry.
