As the next step towards advancing their mission to be a force for good in their home of Stark County, Ohio, Liberty HealthShare Chief Executive Officer Dorsey Morrow announced the Sharing Hearts Fund for Pediatric Wellness, partnering with The Canton Repository.
In an additional opinion piece, Morrow outlined the “why” behind launching this charitable arm of the healthcare sharing ministry. Founded in the ministry’s organizational ethos of caring for others, an initial fund of $50,000, generated solely through donations and grants and entirely separate from the regular operations of the ministry, will be distributed to Stark County families in need for pediatric medical procedures that have often been forgone due to cost.
“Finding a way to serve by supporting the less fortunate in our hometown has been something we’ve been looking at for some time. It’s exciting to be in position to launch the Sharing Hearts Fund during our 30th anniversary year,” said Morrow.
More information about the Sharing Hearts Fund for Pediatric Wellness can be found here. The deadline to apply for the first round of funding is May 15, 2025, at 5 p.m.
