Answers to Liberty HealthShare's Cost-Saving Programs

Our Careington cost-saving discount programs are available for FREE to Liberty HealthShare members who have our Liberty Unite, Liberty Connect, Liberty Essential and Liberty Rise programs.

There is no additional cost for these programs.

Members of Liberty Unite, Liberty Connect, Liberty Essential and Liberty Rise programs are automatically enrolled.

Other than Liberty Assist members, all of our members have access to these discount programs.

Members of the Liberty Rise sharing program have access to the telehealth options but pay the provider a per-visit fee of DialCare Physician Access of $55.

You don’t have to sign up for these programs. You are automatically enrolled as a Liberty HealthShare member. Members received an email from Careington that included their welcome kit in September 2022. Those who enrolled in Liberty HealthShare after that date received the kits shortly after they joined. You can find the Careington program links on your ShareBox dashboard.

If you are a member of Liberty Unite, Liberty Connect or Liberty Essential or Liberty Rise, you are automatically enrolled in Telehealth as a Liberty HealthShare member.

Members only need to complete the registration and verify their account using your Careington Member ID found in the member kit that was emailed to you.

Telehealth is free for members of Liberty Unite, Liberty Connect or Liberty Essential. It is discounted for members of Liberty Rise members at a per-visit fee of $85.

DialCare telehealth providers are fully accredited skilled professionals. Using the Telehealth platform,  medical providers see patients for colds, upper respiratory infections, stomach aches, the flu, urinary tract infections rashes and more.

Specialist care is not recommended for Telehealth.

Liberty HealthShare members in the Liberty Unite, Liberty Connect or Liberty Essential sharing programs receive 5 physical health telehealth visits for free (saving you $79 per visit on average) in a year.

You can invite your doctor or mental health provider to join the DialCare telehealth platforms. You can call (833)-317-4347 or log in online at member.dialcare.com to recommend you provider.

DialCare telehealth is not currently recommended as an alternative to a primary care physician.

If your telehealth provider believes that you need a referral for a medical service, such as bloodwork, they can do this through telehealth.

Liberty Unite, Liberty Connect and Liberty Essential members do not have to pay for the free telehealth services or submit documentation to your sharing community.

If you have used your free visits, you can pay for additional visits as you use utilize the program. Costs are determined by the type of provider you visit. ($55 for physician provider consults). You can access DialCare Telemedicine at https://member.dialcare.com/login 

DialCare telehealth professionals are bi-lingual and include Spanish-speaking providers. You can contact Careington to request a provider who speaks Spanish.

If you have an urgent need, it may not be possible to see the same provider each time you use telehealth. However, if you would like to see the same provider, Careington can assist you and try to schedule you with your preferred provider.

There is no need to submit a receipt through ShareBox, as Telehealth is offered free of charge to members of Liberty Unite, Liberty Connect or Liberty Essential.

We are not insurance. Liberty HealthShare is a community of people, with like-minded values, helping each other in a time of need. We offer our members freedom from insurance and give our members the power to share in one another’s healthcare costs.

DialCare mental wellness therapists are licensed and trained mental health professionals and all counselors are at least master level Licensed Professional Counselors.

DialCare behavioral health mental health professionals work with conditions such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, relationship issues and more.

You do not have to pay for your 12 free telehealth services or submit documentation to your sharing community (saving you $100-$200 per visit on average).

EyeMed is a cost savings discount program that offers Liberty HealthShare members discounts on eye exams, eyeglasses and conventional contact lenses.

You do not have to join.  Members of Liberty Unite, Liberty Connect, Liberty Essential and Liberty Rise are already enrolled.

EyeMed is free to members of Liberty Unite, Liberty Connect, Liberty Essential and Liberty Rise.  Liberty Assist members cannot join the EyeMed network.

Members can receive discounts at optical retailers of up to 20% to 40% off hundreds of brand-name frames, contacts and prescription sunglasses.

Members might use EyeMed for eye exams, age-related eye conditions, eye diseases (including macular degeneration) and eye surgery. Discounts only are available to our members as eye care is not shareable among our members, per our Sharing Guidelines.

There is a discount for the eye exam and any additional medical service or product offered at the accepting location.

If an eye exam and a vision exam are both offered by your eye provider who accepts Careington, you can receive a discount.

If your eye doctor is part of the Careington eye network, you can receive a discount.

Eye treatment in generally not shareable by our members. However, if your provider is part of the Careington network, you can receive discounts for medical services.

Members do not use their Liberty HealthShare member IDs to access this program. You will receive a welcome kit via your email to access EyeMed.

You can use the provider list to select an eye provider who accepts EyeMed.

The EyeMed network includes eye doctors and stores such as Lenscrafters, Target Optical, Pearle Vision and select Costco Optical locations.

The program is free for members of Liberty Unite, Liberty Connect Liberty Essential and Liberty Rise.

You receive a discount for services with Careington and you are responsible for the remaining amount.

Members can see any provider of their choice; however, to receive the discounts discussed in the webinar, you must visit a participating provider.

Careington has a provider search tool to help you search for a dentist near you that is part of the Careington dental network. Members can receive dental discounts from any provider in the Careington dental network.

Tell your dental provider that you are part of the Careington network and show your Careington membership card.

You can invite your dental provider to be a part of the Careington Dental network by nominating your provider at dialcare.libertyhealthshare.org 

Reimbursements are not given in replacement for your provider not being part of the dental network.

With the Careington Dental discount program, members of Liberty Unite, Liberty Connect and Liberty Essential can save 20% to 50% on most dental procedures including routine oral exams and cleanings.

Discounts for routine checkups, crowns, cleanings, root canals, dentures, orthodontics and extractions are included.

Discounts are applied at the time of your appointment and are limited to the discounts offered by the provider and Careington network and members are responsible for the amount charged for a dental service.

Crowns are discounted.

Dental care is not eligible for sharing except the repair of sound natural teeth due to injuries that occur while a Sharing Member. The Careington discount program is available for this need.

Other than dental expenses incurred through injury, dental expenses are not eligible for sharing.

It’s up to you to decide if you want to keep both programs, but it may be a good way for you to save on your medical.

Yes, as long as your free-standing plan isn't a PPO, HMO, or another discount plan.

According to our Sharing Guidelines, inpatient and outpatient acute therapy drugs (excluding maintenance or preventive therapy) and prescription medications prescribed for treatment within the first 45 days after acute illness, are eligible for sharing subject to all other provisions of the Guidelines, including the Annual Unshared Amount.

The Careington discount card included in your welcome kit that was emailed can be used for the Elixir program.

Most medications are not eligible for sharing, other than for acute therapy drugs within the first 45 days after acute illness. The Elixir program is available to members to help support their other medication needs.

Your welcome kit contains a welcome letter, your Careington Member ID card as well as detailed information about these discount programs. Your Careington Member ID is needed when calling to make an appointment and during the appointment to receive the discount.

Yes, your Careington Member ID is separate from your Liberty HealthShare Member ID

To use the vision and dental discounts, your show your Careington Member ID to the provider.

No, it is emailed to the primary member of your membership.

New members receive their welcome kits a few weeks after becoming a member. Members who were enrolled in September 2022 received welcome kits at that time.
