God is Watching | Liberty HealthShare Devotionals

God looks down from heaven on the entire human race; He looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God.

Psalm 53:2 (NLT)

Someone is watching you! Those words can bring anxiety and fear if they are said in the right context. On the one hand we value our privacy, but on the other many people, through social media, seem to hide nothing from the public. They are willing to put themselves, clothed or unclothed, out there for all to see. They are willing to sing, dance, or do something risky or funny all in the name of social media. I suppose they are hoping that someone is watching.

God is watching. God looks down from heaven on everyone all over the world to see if anyone is seeking Him. Think of where God is looking today. He looks over Ukraine amid the terrible destruction that continues for many and listens to the voices that call out to Him for help. He sees the evil that exists in our world and the thousands slaughtered in Iran by their own theocratic government. He looks down today on the words that will be spoken and spun in political arenas at all levels. He will look down today on a national tragedy that will unfold somewhere around the world and listen for people that are seeking and crying out to Him. He will look down today on the most remote jungle villages along the Amazon and the most sophisticated cities around the world and listen for anyone calling His name.

He will look down upon where you are today. He will see your desperations, frustrations, fears, blessing, burdens, and all that comes your way. He will see you today at home, at work, and in the marketplace. He always knows right where you are and what is going on in your life.

Call out to Him. Don’t be afraid to accept the salvation He offers to “whosoever will.” Tell him your troubles. Call out to Him with thanksgiving, blessing, confession, fear, depression, discouragement, or whatever you are feeling and ask Him for help. He is listening. He wants to help you, lead you, guide you, save you, and prepare you for eternity, but you must call on His name.

He is listening . . . He is looking . . .
